Turkey Hunting at Morrison Pines
Spring turkey season at Morrison Pines is right around the corner! We have been building our flocks for many years, and we are now ready to harvest some fine gobblers. All hunts are guided by long time turkey hunters of these areas that are very knowledgeable about all the tracts.
While on a three or four day turkey hunt, hunters may take two gobblers--no jakes or hens. On a two day hunt, the hunter may harvest one bird; an additional bird may be taken at an additional cost.
Your package includes all meals, lodging, one-on-one guides, field transportation and game preparation. The guides will get you in the vicinity of a gobbler and then call for you, if you do not wish to call for yourself. Hunters are in the woods well before dawn to listen for the first gobble and are usually back by noon. Time may vary due to weather conditions or due to the birds.
If a bird is taken on the morning hunt, you may fish in one of our farm ponds located on the plantation. If you plan to hunt the next day, late that afternoon we will roost a bird for our next morning hunt. The season starts March 24, 2018 and goes to May 15, 2018.
Hunters should plan to arrive the afternoon before for the evening meal. First hunt will be the morning hunt on the following day. Departure will be after the last day hunt.
