Morrison Pines Plantation, LLC, Moultrie, Georgia, is a quail hunting operation with seasoned and familiar personnel and hunting lands.

Jerry York and Lamar Sauls have leased property of Carlton Farms, Inc., on a long-term basis. They have a 7,200 square foot lodge with 13 bedrooms with private baths and all amenities.

Quail hunting will be the principal focus, with guides and other staff that are well known to previous guests. The emphasis will be on quality dog work and a quality experience. The dining will be southern.

The hunting property consists of the 1,800 acres of Carlton Farms traditionally hunted, plus approximately 2,200 additional acres under lease. One thousand two hundred acres of the Carlton Farms property were put into a perpetual Conservation Easement with Tall Timbers Research, Inc., in 2007 which will guarantee that these longleaf pine uplands with threatened and endangered species may nonetheless be hunted forever without fear of development. Additional tracts are also under lease for deer and turkey hunting.

The main lodge at Morrison Pines is also available for social gatherings during the non-hunting season--including wedding receptions, business meetings, church retreats, dinners, etc. A smaller existing lodge nearby with 4 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths is available. All of this is in a setting of large live oaks and buildings from the 1890's when the Carlton family’s predecessor, John Morrison, purchased the property as a turpentine plantation.

The local airport, which will accommodate the largest private aircraft, and the modern Colquitt Regional Hospital are less than five miles away from the lodge.
